Just let go and trust

A perfect example of how most people search for answers in life, but when the answers don't fit with their old ways of thinking they simply ignore them and continue searching:

A man who is walking along a cliff all of a sudden loses his balance, slips and falls off, but he has the presence of mind to grab on to the ledge.

He's hanging there for dear life. He's hanging and hanging and finally calls out, 'Is there anybody up there that can help me?"

There's no answer.

He keeps calling and calling and finally this big bellowing voice calls back, 'This is God. I can help you. Just let go and trust.'

Next thing you hear, 'Is there anybody else up there that can help me?'

Isn't this worth thinking about this Sunday morning?

It certainly is worth thinking about on a Sunday morning or in my case Saturday afternoon while listening to Elton John.

Sometimes it is difficult to let go of the old ways, old thinking and whatever baggage that we have been carrying around for our whole life. It is our identity. It is how we relate to the world or how the world relates to us. To just let go means we have to reinvent ourselves. And sometimes it is a daunting and scary journey.

It is not a bad idea though, to let go of the old ways and trust the universe. We can't control everything in our lives. Just be sure you have a good support system - people that you can really rely on when you need them when you decide to let go. It can be a bumpy journey. But I think it will be a good journey.. As one gets older, those old baggages can really get heavy.

Like they say, the older one get, the wiser one become. Life is too short for old baggages!

BTW, Raymond -CLH and I do go way back. Known each other for too long, and have to say, he has mellowed out a lot; must be the company he's hanging out with.

Thanks for visiting, polly.

We do not have to let go of everything; just those that needs to go. By continuing to live in our past, we unconsciously make it become our future. That, unfortunately, is what we see around us.
