The platinum rule

The Golden Rule is recorded in the world's main religions and so much has been heard of it - "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This rule implies that other people would like to be treated the way that you would like to be treated.

The relevancy of this rule in current times has now come into question, at least to me; with the introduction of the Platinum Rule which espouses quite the opposite - "Treat others the way they want to be treated." The Platinum Rule accomodates the feelings of others; a key principle in the building of relationships.

Hope to learn more and blog about this later.

yeah... I use to think golden rule is the best, until I personally gone through problems in relationship applying the golden rule did I realise platinum rule make more sense.
