Some crime indices

Deputy OCPD Subang Jaya Supt Kamal Rosli Skymar Bin Abd Wahad Skymar represented IPD Subang Jaya at the Majlis Ramah Mesra in MPSJ, Sunday morning. I managed to take down some notes concerning my immediate neighbourhood, i.e. Subang Jaya & USJ.

IPD Subang Jaya has 8 balai polis under its jurisdiction; Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Puchong Jaya, Bukit Puchong, Putra Heights, USJ, Seri Kembangan and Serdang. Total population approximately 1.083m.

Reported crime index, from January - August 2005:

IPD Subang Jaya - 4,789
USJ - 987
Subang Jaya - 655

USJ walloped top spot, contributing 20.6% of the reported crime in the district followed by Subang Jaya (13.7%). The reason appears to be obvious. We have only a pondok polis of less than 50 personnel to serve our fast growing township of approximately 250,000!

Now that the money has been allocated, when are we having our balai polis please?

Residents, make your voices heard
Foodcourt: 'Overwhelming objection'
What's your action plan, Hakim?
USJ police station: Guessing game goes on
Sini ada lagi ...
