A Tale of Two Toilets
This public toilet (picture left) was reportedly built in mid-2004 at the pasar malam site in Jalan SS13/1 by the richest local council in Malaysia, at a cost of RM90,000!
It caused an outrage in my neighbourhood and was a front page story in usjdotcomdotmy, a favourite community website.
I have to admit that I have forgotten about it, as many others had. Memang, we all mudah lupa. Very short memories, we have.
Until I was pointed to this blog entry in the Great Expectations. A beautifully designed and yet well maintained public toilet in the famous Taiping Lake Gardens. Easily voted one of the BEST public toilet in Malaysia! See picture below.
I bet it costs less than RM90,000 to build.
